Based
on the Bandung's Spirit, equality and “museum for all”, the
Museum of the Asian-African Conference in cooperation with Mata
Hati Indonesia (a foundation for persons with disabilities), West
Java Province authorities, Friends
of the Museum of the Asian-African Conference, LayarKita
community, Asian African Reading Club, POSS UPI, Kabuyutan and
Bengkel Kreasi GaPaT communities commemorate International Day of
Persons with Disabilities will take place in the Museum of the
Asian-African Conference in Bandung, West Java.
There
will be some events that hold during the month of December such as
National Writing Competition “Writing for Humanity” that
you can find out more at www.sahabatmkaa.wordpress.com
and a photo exhibition of “Tools and Techniques for access”
in permanent exhibition room of the museum that shows creative
designs for supporting the accessibility for persons with
disabilities. Film screening and discussion will be hold every
Tuesdays on December have as a theme “Disability Through a Whole
New Lens”. On 3rd December, there will be a seminar
and discussions “Kita Ada, Kita Berbagi” to raise
awareness and sympathy for persons with disabilities and to promote
the accessibility for them, website launching of Friends of
Disabilities, and Art Performance of Bengkel Kreasi GaPaT Bandung
(art community of persons with disabilities).
On 5th
December will be hold Book Launching and Discussion “Ruang Sunyi”
a book wrote by Taufik Hidayat (person with disabilities) and M. Budi
Pramono. Those events also for supporting UN's 2012 theme “Removing
Barriers to Create an Inclusive and Accessible Society for All”.
